History

Rise eSports, formerly known as the CHAOS CREW (2018) and Richmond Raceway eSports (2019-2021), was founded by the management team of Richmond Raceway to compete in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series as one of the 12 founding professional teams. Before the start of the 2022 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, the team was rebranded to Rise eSports. The new team logo featured a stylized “R” modeled after Richmond Raceway, with the top of the letter evolving into a flame. That flame comes from the seal of Virginia State University, a historically Black college and university located just outside the city. Sunoco was a title sponsor of the team for several seasons. Unlike most professional teams that competed in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, Rise eSports had a prominent presence throughout the entire Road to Pro ladder and elsewhere in the iRacing community. The team ceased operations after the 2023 racing season.
