History
Vulcan Sim Racing was an iRacing team founded in April 2020 by Steven Leahy and Neil Goodacre. The first evolution of Vulcan Sim Racing comprised of the duo and two other drivers from Paul King's community Discord (Lucas Adam and Dominik Förster). They initially banded together to run the 12 hours of Suzuka in the iRacing Endurance Series, coming out with a 2nd place in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 in the team's first endurance race.
From there the team grew in size in the next four months, gaining notable members such as Steven Norman, Mohammed Janko, Tom Male, Adam Gladden and Luke McKeown all of whom were key in helping to grow Vulcan in its first phase as a sim racing team.
Departures of long-time drivers Steven Norman, Antonio Baptista Fernandes, and Luke McKeown in late 2020 and early 2021 opened the door for a new cohort of Vulcan drivers including former manager Rob Sutherland and former iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series driver Blake Townend. The Vulcan Sim Racing Academy was launched around this time to act as a junior team.
In September 2021, Rob Sutherland departed the team and Steven Leahy stepped down prompting a re-shuffle in the management and handing ownership to Lucas Adam.
In November 2022, Vulcan Sim Racing shut it's doors, with the majority of remaining drivers joining ATRS eSports.
