Biography
Paschalis Gkergkis (Πασχάλης Γκέργκης) is a 23 year old simracer from Greece. His first steps were in rFactor back in the early 2010s in open lobby leagues like EuroRacers.
After a long break from simracing, he came back in rFactor 2 and Formula-SimRacing in 2015 with Avid Chronic Racing. After a few promising results and some World Championship drives he quit rFactor 2 in 2016.
The next step for him was iRacing and Apex Racing Academy. He decided to take on the Road Pro Series with the McLaren MP4-30. He managed to qualify for the iRacing World Championship Series by earning the 7th spot overall, out of the top-20 drivers that were awarded a World Championship license. His best result was a P3 at Monza and his best qualifying position was in the 2nd round were he scored P3.
After securing his Pro license, his next step was with CoRe SimRacing. His first year was not as succesful as his iRPS campaign, however he managed to retain his license for another year. The highlight of the season was a P4 qualifying result at Spa-Francorchamps.
In the Winter break, Paschalis decided to make the jump in the GT3s. With Ricardo Castro Ledo and Santeri Kallunki, they managed to win the qualifying series with CoRe SimRacing Black with multiple wins and some impressive perfomances.
In the following year, a collaboration with Burst Esports helped Paschalis clinch some impressive results in iWCGPS, including his first ever top-5 finish at Monza, and some consistent results in the top-10. During iWCGPS, there was also the VRSGT Series that Paschalis took on with Ricardo and Santeri. It was a fairly succesful season with P5 overall in the bag for the team with multiple Top 5s and a best result of P3 in the opening round at Bathurst. iWCGPS-Zandvoort would be the last race for Paschalis wearing the CoRe SimRacing colors.
After the summer break his transfer to Coanda Simsport was announced were he competed in the last 4 races of the season, finishing in the top-10 in every race with his team and 3 times in P7.
In 2019 Paschalis will be competing in iWCGPS and VRSGT Series with Coanda Simsport.
