History
Kurt has been playing racing games since the age of about 4 years old. Playing games such as Indianapolis 500: The Simulation, Geoff Crammond GP2, Need For Speed Series, F1 2000, V8 Challange and the Race Driver V8 Supercar series.
His proper sim racing began at the age of 15 when he was alerted to the rFactor online scene by a friend and decided to get the wheel out and started racing with a league called Rock Solid Mates (RSM). He found success relatively quickly and went searching for more leagues.
Kurt raced the 2012 JFF Peter Brock Memorial Bathurst 1000 with good friend Floydie and claimed a 2nd against some of the communities’ best drivers including TTR’s Madison Down.
Racing in the rFactor Community in 2013, Kurt was a consistent front runner grabbing many wins and podiums across many different leagues and car track combinations.
In mid 2013 Kurt decided to put an effort into iRacing, looking for a new challenge. He committed to the goal of trying the reach the top spilt of the iRacing Official V8 Supercar Series. Kurt achieved this Goal Round 6 Season 4 at Interlagos.
In Early 2014 Kurt became a regular competitor in the top spilt of the iRacing Official V8 Supercar Series achieving a best result of 5th Place at round 6 of season 2 at Bathurst. Kurt also participated in the ARL TV V8 Series and found some success. In late 2014, Kurt was a founding driver of the brand new V8 Supercar Online Premier Series and made himself a regular top 15 competitor from the start. Kurt also claimed the 2014 JFF Peter Brock Memorial Bathurst 1000 with Jake Burton on his 3rd attempt at the race.
2015 was an interesting year for Kurt. Kurt failed to qualify for spilt 1 of round 1 of the 2015 V8 Supercar Online Premier Series, instead winning the second spilt from pole. Round 2 however he returned to grab his best ever result of 3rd at Montreal becoming the first and only driver to podium back to back rounds in different splits. The rest of Kurt’s season was filled with modest results and some misfortune. Kurt also made the leap into endurance racing in 2015. Racing the Australian Endurance Championship with Dayco Motorsport in the HPD P2 Prototype they achieved 3 race wins and secured the championship. Also they achieved a 3rd place in top spilt of the iRacing Sebring 12 Hr
With the demise Dayco Motorsport at the end of 2015 Kurt became part of Fusion Sim Racing for V8SCOPS in 2016. Although there were some good results the season was quite disappointing for Kurt as he struggled to make a regular impact in the top 10 to 15 cars. The highlight of this year was a Win in the Australian Endurance Championship 4 Hour at Monza with Rhys Gardiner.
For 2017 Kurt Joined Trans Tasman Racing as a “Rising Star” driver. This marked a return to form for Kurt with some more solid results. Kurt also claimed a race win in the broadcasted ANZ Truck Series at Dover on his first and only start in the series. 2018 saw Kurt Focus primarily on V8 Supercar racing with him grabbing his first top 10 in the V8SCOPS Championship as well as a 4th place in Season 2 of the iRacing Official V8 Supercar Championship.
The start of 2019 saw new ventures for Kurt. Kurt with friend Colin Warwick started the Automobilista Supercars Championship which brought competitive broadcasted V8 Supercar racing to the sim. Kurt has also returned to modding tracks which has been one of his hobbies over the years.
2021 saw Kurt make the Supercars Eseries Draft. He made a one of start in the series in Round 3 at Road America Finishing 19th. He also claimed 9th in the V8SCOPS championship and his 2nd Automobilista Supercars Championship title
