History
iRacing Motorsports was created in 2020 after the withdrawal of KLR eSports to fill the gap left in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series team championship roster. The liveries used by the team were iRacing branded on the front and rear, with the driver's respective social media on the sides. While the team has no affiliation with KLR, they continued to use the numbers 1 and 42 on their entries for the remainder of the 2020 season and inherited the team's points.
iRacing Motorsports returned in 2022 due to an unfilled slot in the roster for a professional team in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series. With only 19 teams committed to the 2022 season, the team returned to give branding to the 2 drivers who were not selected during the free agency period. The team switched from Chevrolet to Ford and the drivers had the options of picking numbers that were available following the 19 other teams number choices. Malik Ray chose the #7 and Derek Justis chose the #12.
Following the 2022 season the series has retained a roster of 20 teams and has not been necessary to use in any official capacity since.
