The season started with an exhibition race at Daytona International Speedway on February 16 and concluded at Homestead Miami Speedway on October 12. This was the final season to feature a season-long points championship before the introduction of the Playoffs beginning in 2017. Drivers competed for a prize package of $19,800 (USD cash + iRacing credits), with $10,000 cash going to the champion.
Teams and Drivers
Blake Bryant, Damon Burnette, Dillon Raffurty, Dylan C Jones, Joey Israelson, Logan Clampitt, Nicholas Johnston, Nick Furler, Robin Williams, Ryan Borges, and Timmy Hill made up the rookie class of 11 drivers making their series debuts. Broadcasting
RaceSpot TV was the exclusive broadcast home of the preseason AlfallaTech Shootout and all points races for the first time in series history, replacing longstanding broadcaster PSRTV who had been covering the series since its inception in 2010. RaceSpot TV introduced a 20-minute pre-race show to kick off the broadcasts which featured the same broadcast team that covered the race in the booth. All points races were streamed on the RaceSpot TV and iRacing YouTube channels and FansChoice.TV. The AlfallaTech All-Star Race was streamed on the LSRTV YouTube channel and available on the iRacing Live homepage.
