NASCAR Cup Series Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
NASCAR's Next Gen car makes its debut on iRacing before anywhere else in preparation for its inaugural real-world NASCAR Cup Series campaign in 2022. Featuring a number of technological innovations, from a new chassis design and independent rear suspension to a sequential transmission and single-lug wheel design, the Next Gen car is designed to continue pushing the sport forward.
After using the model for a number of years in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Chevrolet introduced the Camaro to the Cup Series for the first time in 2018, and the Camaro carries on as the brand's Next Gen car. Like its counterparts from Ford and Toyota, it's powered by a 358 cubic-inch V8 powerplant, and weighs 3,400 pounds with driver and fuel. After multiple years of testing by some of the sport's biggest names, the Next Gen Camaro will make its real-world debut in the 2022 Daytona 500.

Back in 1994, the very first exhibition race in the history of NASCAR SuperTruck Series competition was won by PJ Jones driving a Ford F150. More than 25 years onward, the F150 remains a staple of NASCAR's truck competition, scoring its first title with Greg Biffle in 2000 and powering Matt Crafton to the Blue Oval's most recent championship in 2019. Although Toyota was a little late to the party, since entering NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition in 2004, the NASCAR Camping World Toyota Tundra has become the truck to beat. Travis Kvapil took the Tundra's first win in mid-2004 and Toyota has since gone on to more than half a dozen manufacturers championships (including four straight from 2006-10) with no sign of slowing down. Beginning in 2022, the TRD Pro edition of the Tundra is now the design of choice for championship-caliber teams in NASCAR’s premier pickup-based series.
