Biography

Nicholas Morse was introduced to sim-racing by his cousin (and fellow sim-racer), Kyle Morse in early 2001. A year later, Morse was able to purchase his first computer, racing wheel and began racing on NASCAR Racing 4 by Papyrus.


Morse joined his first league, FFSRL in 2002 and completed a 12-race season in their amateur division. Following that year, Morse moved to NASCAR Racing 2002 by Papyrus and entered the Hard Core Racing League. He ran in the Wednesday Night Thunder Division and became the 2004 Thunder Champion with a high point in the season at Bristol Motor Speedway. Morse sat on the pole, lead all 250 laps and earned the race victory.


Morse moved to NASCAR Racing 2003 by Papyrus following the 2002 season and raced in an assortment of leagues, earning various victories and another championship in the Penske/Hendrick Online Racing League. He continued on NASCAR Racing 2003 in a league called SORS until Project Wildfire was released and then he transitioned to rFactor in 2006.


In 2006, Morse competed in Formula-Simracing for Torrent Motorsports, Bracciano Racing and finally Team FSR. He advanced through the progression system and Morse had 14 starts in two seasons during his stint in professional esport open wheel racing and made one of his three World Championship starts with a debut in 2007 at the virtual Spanish Grand Prix. He finished 19th in his one and only start in 2007. In 2008, Morse made two more starts in relief for Torrent Motorsports and Team FSR. Morse finished 28th at the virtual Monaco Grand Prix and earned at 15th place finish at the virtual Canadian Grand Prix in his final start in the World Championship division. He was the only American to compete in the World Championship division in 2007 and 2008, following AJ Allmendinger as the only American to compete in the series in 2006.


Morse took a year off and returned to sim-racing in 2008 with the release of iRacing. Competing in the inaugural NASCAR iRacing Pro Series (placing 51st) and ascending to the NASCAR iRacing Coca-Cola Series in 2013. Morse has six Pro Series victories, one Road-to-Pro Series victory and has been a participant in the NASCAR iRacing Pro Series in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 & 2018. He announced he was retiring at the end of the 2021 eNASCAR iRacing Season and then rescinded his retirement in January of 2022.


Morse currently drives for Ryco Performance in the NASCAR iRacing Road-to-Pro Series.
