Biography
Beau Albert is an Australian Simracer currently competing successfully in the iRacing Rallycross Series in which he holds the highest iRating for an Australian. Beau currently is contracted until the end of 2021 to Logitech G Altus Esports.
Albert first started competitive Simracing in a small-scale F12013 league in which he saw immediate success. Runner up in his debut season, before dominating the second season of competition. Beau would eventually make the move to the popular Australian Simracing site, Raceonoz.com where he found himself for many years competing in Gran Turismo events against GT Academy veterans. Beau would win the Division 1B Title in his fourth season, before eventually transitioning across to the sites Project CARS' leagues where he would begin enjoying the more brutal Simulation aspects of the title. In just 18 months of competition, Beau became the most winning driver with 13 Race Wins and 2 Championships. In early 2017, Beau bought his first Computer and joined iRacing, and with this, he would infamously retire from the Raceonoz Project CARS Season with just 3 races to go, despite having clean swept the season up to that point and comfortably being on target for a record breaking third championship.
Beau started in iRacing with Raceonoz.com, but quickly looked for other options as he developed quickly on the Sim. After a short stint with Progression Racing Australia, Beau would slot into the highly-competitive Evolution Racing Team (ERT) for 2017 and 2018. Beau truly made his mark on the sim for being a Nürburgring Nordschelife specialist, finding his iRacing claim-to-fame in the VLN series with Top Split Podiums in both the Porsche and GT3 classes in his debut season, the only driver to have ever achieved this feat.
Beau would qualify for the 2018 iRacing VRS GT World Championship, however would only make two starts in the series at Sebring and Monza, as the team began to suffer internally. Beau left ERT in May 2018 citing personal reasons, before it was later announced that he had joined the newly formed Altus Esports team in June 2018. The combination quickly paid off as they went on to win the Top Split Daytona 24 Hours in GT3 alongside long time teammates Zachary Hanlin and Simone Maria Marcenò, and backed this up with a Runner-Up result in the Top Split Sebring 12 Hours just a month later.
Albert these days still competes regularly in GT Competition, but has found his strengths in Rallycross, becoming the highest iRated Driver in Australasia. In 2020, Beau fought his way through the Qualifers to make his debut in the iRacing World Championship; signing with American powerhouse, Andretti Autosport for the season in collabration with Altus. Beau made an immediate impact, almost winning the season opener in the process in a late race battle with Illari Lamminsivu, but ultimately the campaign would prove to be a learning experience as he slipped from Sixth in the Championship in the opening third of the season, to fall outside the Top 10 by season's end. Beau has moved into a Full-Time simracing role as of August 2020 and is targeting the 2021 iRX Season as a key focus moving forward..
