The 2020A SimracerCoin NASA RallyCross Challenge Season was the twentieth season of the championship. It began on April 29th, 2020 and ended on July 1st, 2020. Philip Kraus entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion, while his team, Subaru MRT, returned as the Constructors' Champions from 2019B. However, both championships were unable to be retained after a dismal season for both Kraus and his team.
Pre-Season
- NASA RallyCross officials announced the return to Generation 4 regulations, citing that the Gen-3 regulations limited participation to US based teams.
- All circuits have been discontinued except for Daytona, with the series visiting the "Long" layout the track has supplied.
- Officials announce the return of the Endurance Cup, taking part during Round 7-8 of the season at the Wild West and Wild Horse circuits.
- Regulation disputes see Mitsubishi, Honda, and Citroën pull out of the championship after a single season return.
- Volkswagen re-enters the championship after last running in the canceled 2019A season.
- The format has been capped at 20 drivers, which will result in a pre-qualifying session for every race event. This was later amended to 24 drivers for Atlanta and beyond.
Mid-Season
- After the fifth round in Indianapolis, NASA Sim Racing announced an entitlement partnership with SimracerCoin for the second half of the championship and beyond.
