The 2018A NASA RallyCross Challenge season will be the fifteenth season of the championship. Josh Mertz will return as the defending Drivers' Champion, along with his team, Red Bull Subaru MRT, as the defending Constructors' Champions. 2018A will be the final season with the current body style of vehicles, along with current tracks. For 2018B, NASA will run a "Gen-4" chassis, supplied by Ford, Subaru and Volkswagen.

Calendar Changes

• Croft returns to the beginning of the season, after customs issues caused the venue to close out the 2017C season.
• Aspen returns to the calendar, previously running one event in 2016A.
• Irwindale was dropped after one season.
• Daytona is added to the schedule, after successful tests in the off season.

Team and Driver Changes

• Josh Mertz and Philip Kraus swap numbers, following Mertz's fifth title.
• Cody Erdmann and Brandon Lambert announced their return to the NASA RallyCross Challenge, resulting in all of the champions competing at once since 2014A.
