Biography
Lorenzo Castellani (born June 4, 2001) is an Italian sim racing driver from Faenza. His passion for Formula 1 and motorsport began in childhood, as he spent hours watching races on television and dreaming of one day driving on a real circuit.
Early Interest in Racing
Castellani's enthusiasm for racing led him to explore the world of racing video games from a young age. In 2019, he fulfilled a long-held dream by purchasing his first racing wheel, marking the true beginning of his sim racing journey.
Sim Racing Career
After gaining experience on Assetto Corsa Competizione, Castellani transitioned to iRacing in 2021, a simulator he considers his primary reference for competitive racing. In this virtual environment, he found the challenge he was seeking—the opportunity to compete against sim racers from around the world and test his driving skills at the highest level.
His achievements on iRacing have been numerous and meaningful, allowing him to grow as a virtual driver and reach milestones he never imagined possible.
Competitive Development
In addition to being a passionate driver, Castellani is an active member of the Zero7 Racing team staff. Alongside his teammates, he works daily to improve performance and push the team to the top of the competitive sim racing scene.
