Le Mans Ultimate is an early-access racing video game simulating the FIA World Endurance Championship. It is being developed by Studio 397 and published by Motorsport Games. The game was originally slated for release in December 2023, but the release date was pushed back and the game was released on Steam in early access on 20 February 2024.

The game is currently only available on PC. The official website's FAQ states that "...we are actively exploring the opportunity to bring this experience to console. Currently, our focus is only on developing the PC version."[1]

Gameplay

Le Mans Ultimate features four distinct classes of race cars, all of which feature in the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as the 2023 and 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship, those being Le Mans Hypercar (LMH), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) and Le Mans Group GT3 (LMGT3).[2]

All seven tracks from the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship are present in the game, including Sebring, Portimão, Spa-Francorchamps, Circuit de la Sarthe, Monza, Fuji, and Bahrain. Furthermore, Circuit of the Americas, Imola and Interlagos were added post early access-launch.[3]

Race Weekend is Le Mans Ultimate's single-player mode where players can set how many classes will be on track, weather forecast, time scaling, fuel usage scaling, and tyre wear scaling.

Online multiplayer is present in early access. Players can compete in daily races, limited-timed special events, or create a private session for select players to join.

Le Mans Ultimate features a co-op mode in which players can share a save file while driving against AI. This feature was teased pre-early access launch but was added in the September 2024 update released on 24 September 2024[4]. The same update saw the save feature be added to single-player as well, allowing drivers to save while in the pits and reload the save at a later.
